• Fishing/Boating - Hundreds of miles of streams and high mountain lakes for fishing Rainbow, Brook, Brown & Cutthroat Trout.
• Conejos River offers trophy fly fishing waters, beginning right at the concrete bridge in the town of Platoro.
• Nearby Mix Lake and Platoro Reservoir are stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout as well as Kokanee Salmon.

• A wide variety of excellent hunting opportunities exist in the Platoro area.
• Thousand of acres of public land are available to hunt elk, mule deer, bear, small game, grouse and more.
• Colorado Division of Wildlife sections 80 & 81.  

• Plenty of mountains roads and trails to view the unparalleled beauty and scenic vistas of the Rio Grand National Forest.

Dozens of trails to hike!  Trails vary from an easy day hike, to more difficult overnight adventures into remote regions.  Nearby Conejos Peak is over 13,000 ft. elevation.  There are also many trails to and along the Continental Divide.
